Affiliate Disclosure
How Storehunting makes money and how affiliate links work.
What affiliate links are
An affiliate link is a special URL that contains an ID or username. This ID lets the retailer know that you were referred to their website by Storehunting. It is a standard practice used by almost all online publishers, blogs, and shopping directories to generate revenue.
How commissions work
If you click on an affiliate link on Storehunting and proceed to make a purchase, the merchant or an affiliate network may pay us a percentage of the sale as a referral fee. This commission is paid by the retailer, not by you. The price you pay for the item remains exactly the same whether you use an affiliate link or navigate directly to the store.
How this affects recommendations
Our editorial integrity is our most valuable asset. Affiliate partnerships do not dictate our curation. We evaluate stores based on their category fit, inventory quality, shipping policies, and overall shopping experience, as detailed in our Editorial Policy. We curate exactly what we believe is the best recommendation for our readers; adding an affiliate link is simply a secondary step if a program is available.
Non-affiliate links
We regularly feature stores, small makers, and independent brands that do not have affiliate programs. If an alternative retailer is the best recommendation for a specific guide, we will include them regardless of whether we earn a commission. Our goal is to provide the most useful directory, not just the most profitable one.
Sponsored placements
While our primary revenue model is affiliate commissions, we may occasionally accept sponsored placements or native advertisements from brands. If a brand has paid for placement or provided products for review, that content will always be clearly and prominently labeled as "Sponsored" or "Ad" within the guide.
