How Storehunting handles account information, public contributions and support requests.

Last updated: 2026-10-02

Information you provide

When you create an account, we store information such as your name, email address, account identifiers and authentication records. Password authentication uses a password hash, rather than storing your password in plain text. If you use an available external sign-in provider, that provider supplies the account information needed for sign-in.

We also store content you submit: reviews, ratings, comments, profile details, lists, uploaded images and support requests. Avoid including private information about yourself or others in public content.

Information from using the website

Authentication sessions use cookies. Technical records may include IP addresses, browser information and request timestamps for account security, abuse prevention and diagnosing problems. Account records may also contain language preferences and referral information.

Public and private content

Published reviews, comments and their displayed author details are visible to visitors. Public profiles and public lists may be indexed by search engines. Profile and list visibility controls determine whether those pages are publicly accessible; they do not make a published review private.

Your email address and support tickets are not displayed as public profile content. Authorized administrators can access account and moderation information needed to operate the site. Content pending moderation is available to its author and authorized administrators.

How information is used

We use information to operate accounts, show submitted content, manage lists, respond to requests, moderate submissions and protect the service. Hosting, database, storage and configured authentication or email providers process information needed to deliver those functions. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law.

External websites and shopping links

Brand websites and retailers operate under their own privacy policies. Following an affiliate link may allow a retailer or affiliate network to record a referral using cookies or other identifiers. Read our affiliate disclosure and the destination's privacy notice before sharing information there.

Your choices and requests

You can edit profile details and visibility, manage lists, and edit or delete your own reviews using the account interface. Deletion from public view may leave records retained for moderation, security or backups. We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes above and applicable obligations; backup copies may remain after a public removal.

To request access, correction or deletion of account information, contact the team. Available rights depend on your location and applicable law. We may verify account ownership before processing a request.

Cookies and security

You can manage cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in and account features from working. We use access controls and other safeguards to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may revise this notice as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
