Review guidelines

Share useful, honest reviews based on your own experience.

Write from experience

Review a product you have personally used or a shopping experience you actually had. Tell readers which product or service you are discussing, how you used it, what worked and what could improve. Specific context is more useful than an unsupported claim that a brand is the best or worst.

Your rating must reflect your own opinion. You can describe an experience without claiming that a purchase has been independently verified.

Disclose your relationships

Use the review form's relationship options when you received a free product, work for the brand, invest in it, or have another relevant connection. Explain the connection in your review. Reviews from Storehunting team members carry a Storehunting team label. Payment or access to an account must never depend on leaving a positive score.

Assistance with writing

You may use an editor or writing assistant to organize your own notes. Read and approve the final text yourself. An assistant must not invent usage, delivery problems, results, photographs or a rating on your behalf. Research from the web belongs in an attributed editorial article, not in a first-person customer review.

Keep comments useful

Ask questions about the experience described and add relevant context. Be respectful when disagreeing. Do not include another person's contact details, private order information, promotional links, threats or harassment.

Publication and changes

New and edited reviews go through moderation. We may withhold content that violates these guidelines. Both positive and negative reviews are welcome. You can edit or delete your own review through your account. Report concerns using the report action on a published review.
